Randy Morse’s stables get extended for good
The trainer of millionaire horses such as, Jonesboro and Morluc, Randy Morse is bound to become more prominent than ever. His stables and studs are not only going to flood with new horses but that all those horses are well-bred. The amount very easily
might go up to forty.
“I’ve got a lot more young horses that could turn out to be something”, he said.
“Last year everything went right,” Morse said of Oaklawn. “Every time we entered one, we got in the right spot. I don’t have horses that fit the spots quite as well, but we should be fine. I have more horses for the higher-end maiden races, the maiden
special weights”.
The forty-nine-year-old Morse stands fifth in the trainers’ standings at the Oaklawn Park. A meet so influential that it took Randy Morse from 72 to 19 that was held just last year at the Oaklawn Park.
Chivazone owned by Patterson was bought out of a yearling sale, and now is under Morse’s training. The two-year-olds who are to get added to Morse’s stables are from sires such as City Zip, Johannesburg, Quiet American and Ready’s Image.
Another tempting entry into the stable for Morse is, Chief Gaga, who is a three-year-old colt of Indian Charlie, who will get accompanied by the four year old, Don Dulce, who apparently turns out to be a half-brother to the stakes winner, Sweet Relish.
“He seems to be a pretty decent horse”, said Morse.
The four-year-old, Don Dulce bought by Langford is being considered for an allowance race that is to held at Oaklawn Park, and also for the $100,000 Essex that is scheduled to be held on Saturday 4th February.
“He’s not far from making his first start,” said Morse, who freshened the Iowa-bred after the meet at Prairie Meadows. “He’s a couple of breezes away”.
Other entries for Randy Morse’s stable include, Truly Inspired and Mama’s Pro for Winn. Morse has been training since 1981 and has horses like, Testify and Prospector’s Song credited against his name. The turn in fate that the New Year has brought
for Randy Morse is an extension to what he has devoted his life to and what inspires him the most.
