A good player in my FF league offered me this trade (i would be receiving Moss) and I just can't figure out if it's good or not. I really think MJD and Smith are going to have excellent seasons but Moss is guaranteed. Any advice?

  1. say noooooo, Moss is only a slight upgrade over Smith, and Forte is a big downgrade

  2. well moss isn't guaranteed, no one is. But i would take it because i don't trust smith this year because of Delhomme plus he is out the first 2 weeks. and MJD splits carries with Taylor so he will have good numbers but I think Forte may put up numbers close to him.

  3. Oh yea dog do that, moss alone will get close to the numbers that MJD and Steve put up combined.

  4. I'd pull the trigger on that trade, you're receiving Moss who is probably going to have another 1,200 plus yard, 10 plus touchdown season and a potential fantasy sleeper pick in Forte for a Smith (who won't be playing the first two games of the season and has only one double digit touchdown season compared to the 7 Moss has) and a scat back who has never rushed for more then 1,000 yards and ran for almost 200 yards less and 4 less touchdowns last year (with one less carry then the previous year) and who defenses now have plenty of game film and plans to stop.  To me it's a no brainer I'd take Moss and his touchdowns and yards even if it was a lop sided trade.

  5. The Bears will probably be playing a lot of catchup this year so Forte may not have much of a fantasy impact so while Moss is solid you're basically trading 2 for 1.

Forte will be a bigger downgrade from Jones-Drew than Moss will be an upgrade over Smith, so I wouldn't do it

  6. Well Smith is suspended for the first 2 games and he has been getting injured every year.  Jones Drew could be great but Forte could be good as the starter.  If you have 2 other good RB's I would do it.

  7. It depends on who your other WR's and RB's are but Its hard to trade Moss, the best receiver in the game right now...Steve Smith does have a chip on his shoulder so he should have a good year but MJD,I dont like any backs that split carries and you know Fred Taylor is going to get alot of carries this year..I would keep Moss or ask for a better trade..

  8. i would take it. moss is up for another great year, and forte has no really competition for the starting spot. like the other two have said mjd will split carries and smith is out for the first two weeks. i would.

  9. I would accept this trade in an instant. Steve Smith is suspended the first two games to start the season and averages 12 complete games a year because he is always a huge injury risk. Plus he has had his worst seasons with Muhammad starting across from him and Muhammad is back in Carolina. Also with Carolina this year is the Jonathan Stewart/DeAngelo Williams tandem so they will run a lot more. And then the obvious reasons for MJD...he splits with Taylor too much to be consistent in fantasy points every week. Now with Moss who is a freak of nature at WR you have consistency every week in NE with Brady and an over-rated running game. NE is a pass heavy offense unlike Carolina. Forte is going to be something else this year with nobody challenging him for the starting job. He will be the NFC rookie of the year in Chicago. He is an every down back and has great hands out of the back field with a nose for the endzone. I drafted him in all my leagues. Hope this helps you out. Accept the trade.

  10. cosigning chad.
