Randy Orton and Sheamus face off 6 days before Summer Slam
Wrestling fans are just 6 days away from watching the summer wrestling party of Summer Slam. This is usually the time when potential enemies are spotted and wrestlers start preparing themselves for Wrestle Mania. One of the biggest matches at this year’s Summer Slam will be between Sheamus and Randy Orton with the prestigious WWE Championship on the line.
During the last couple of weeks a lot of people questioned the ability of Sheamus as he would fight the best in wrestling today at the Pay per View. Sheamus was aware of the critics and he made the decision to answer them himself. There was tension in the air when the Celtic Warrior walked the ramp and entered the ring. Sheamus called out the viper, Randy Orton to the ring. Sheamus called him out because he wanted to prove that he is the dominant wrestler and is afraid of nobody. Wrestling fans cheered heavily as Randy Orton entered the arena.
Both wrestlers engaged in a heated verbal conflict and one could feel that they would explode in a few seconds in the ring. The viper was the first to strike as he attacked Sheamus from behind and punched him in the head. The Celtic Warrior replied by delivering a huge close line and knocked down Randy Orton. Randy Orton then ran in the ring to deliver a punch to Sheamus’s head. But then suddenly, Randy Orton stopped and looked at Sheamus. That was the first time, wrestling fans saw the Celtic Warrior being afraid from someone. Sheamus was completely vulnerable as Randy stood in the ring starring at him. Randy Orton then left the ring and started walking to the exit door of the arena. Sheamus was distressed as yet again he failed to prove his domination. Wrestling fans were booing him and it was a catastrophic scene for the Celtic Warrior.
Sheamus was sitting at the ring side in complete frustration. It was announced that the remaining 6 NXT rookies will face each other in a 3 on 3 tag team match. The team of Kaval, Lucky Cannon and Show time Percy Watson was to face the team of Alex Riley, Michael McGillicutty and Husky Harris. The rookies ripped each other apart in the match. The fight ended when Husky Harris ran in the ring, jumped in the air and landed on Kaval’s abdomen. Husky Harris went for the cover and the referee counted to three with both of Kaval’s shoulders touching the ring floor.
The match was supposedly over and the rookies certainly impressed the crowd. But then Sheamus took out his frustration as he ran outside the ring and delivered the Brogue Kick to Lucky Cannon’s face. The Celtic Warrior then grabbed Michael McGillicutty and slammed his back on the boundary wall. Sheamus was acting like a wild animal and was destroying everything in his way. He then entered the ring and all the rookies quickly ran to save their lives. They knew that it was futile to stand in Sheamus’s way.
It was Kaval who suffered the most as he was still recovering from the blow by Husky Harris. Sheamus picked up Kaval on his shoulders and executed the dreaded High Cross to slam his back hard on the ring floor. It was quite a sight as fans saw the fear the rookies had of Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior then picked up the microphone and told wrestling fans that he guarantees that he will beat Randy Orton at Summer Slam and will retain the WWE Championship.
The stage is all set for the clash of a life time as the viper and the Celtic Warrior will face each other in an epic battle. The fight at Summer Slam which will determine the fate of the WWE Championship will certainly have far reaching effects.
