Randy Orton becomes the World Champion: WWE News
The Viper, Randy Orton, won the World Heavyweight Championship over Christian. The Championship match took place at Friday Night SmackDown that was held at Orlando, Florida, on May 6, 2011.
The Captain Charisma, Christian, took the World Heavyweight Championship over Alberto Del Rio in a Ladder Match at Extreme Rules on May 1, 2011. It was the first World Championship victory by Christian. Five Days after Extreme Rules, The Captain Charisma
appeared in the ring in SmackDown. He said that he had been waiting for the World Championship for over sixteen years and now he was standing in the ring as a new World Heavyweight Champion. He thanked Edge and WWE Universe and his Peeps to help him for becoming
the World Champion.
The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry, interrupted him and demanded his shot for a World title. The Great Khali also came out with Ranjin Singh and challenged Christian for the title match. Randy Orton also came out and demanded the title shot. The SmackDown
General Manager came out and said that he had not made the decision about the number one contender.
The WWE Universe would make the decision. The WWE Universe choose Orton and Teddy said that the match would take place tonight.
It was the last match that took place between Orton and Christian. The Viper came out first and Christian was the next to come in the ring. The match started and Orton gained the momentum. Orton tried to hit IEDDT early in the match, but Christian survived
and dropped Orton over the top ropes to the floor. The match continued for about fifteen minutes with kicks, punches and slams. Both superstars gained and lost the momentum several times.
A huge excitement was seen in the match as the both superstars were much passionate about the World Title. The match ended in a stunning turn of the history. When Christian tried to hit Orton from top rope, The Viper overcame with a huge RKO and pinned for
three. The title swapped to the other superstar in a five-day short period. Orton was now the New World Heavyweight Champion.
