Randy Orton drops down to the second spot in the WWE Rankings for June 9
The World Heavyweight Champion, Randy Orton, could not secure his top position this week as he dropped to the second place in this week’s rankings of the WWE. Although, The Viper took the victory by way of disqualification against Sheamus, but this win could
not secure his top place.
The Viper participated in the Friday Night SmackDown on July 8 at Tucson, Ariz. He was put into the fight against Sheamus in a non-title Ladder Match. The match was decided because Sheamus interrupted and attacked Orton last week, while he was busy in a
contract-signing ceremony with Christian. Sheamus appeared in the Friday Night SmackDown on July 8 and brutally attacked the SmackDown superstars who were in the ring on the table as the nominees for 'SmackDown Money in the Bank Ladder Match'.
Sheamus said that he would be the winner of the Ladder Match and would beat the Viper when he would take defeat the googly-eyed, Christian. The Captain Charisma also made his way towards the ring and spoke that he would be the winner of World Heavyweight
title over Orton at 'Money in the Bank'. Christian also stated that he had already beaten Sheamus in the last SmackDown segment. The SmackDown General Manager, Theodore Long, came out and announced that Sheamus would be having a non-title Ladder match against
The World Champion, Orton.
During the Sheamus and Orton fight, Christian also joined the announce-table. When The Viper was in a condition to win the match, Christian interrupted him that caused disqualification. The Viper won the fight, but it was shocking for Orton and WWE Universe
because Christian interrupted the fight. After the feud, Sheamus threw Christian on the floor. The Viper also amused the WWE Universe by hitting RKO on Sheamus.
The Viper lost his place despite Christian’s interruption which caused victory for him. Last week, he was on the top of the Power 25 list as he defeated The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry, in the previous Friday Night SmackDown Segment. Moreover, he also
found himself in a contract-signing ceremony of his World title.
