Randy Orton moves up from third to second in WWE’s Power 25 list – WWE Rankings
The Apex Predator, Randy Orton once again made an upward jump in the current week’s rankings. The Viper was placed second in the Power 25 list updated by the Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science until the weekend of October 15.
The Viper joined two weekly segments including Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown last week. During Monday Night Raw, the Viper faced the World Heavyweight Champion, Mark Henry on October 10. Randy Orton was near to victory of the non-title match
when the Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes interrupted. It caused a disqualification and the World’s Strongest Man lost the fight to the Viper. Cody and Henry brutalised the Apex Predator and Cody sent a message to Orton by putting a paper bag on his
face.
The Viper made an amazing comeback during Friday Night SmackDown on October 14 and put himself on the line in the biggest 41-Man Royal Rumble match. It was decided that the winner would have the title shot of his own desire either the World or WWE title.
The Viper took some payback from Cody by eliminating him as the bout started. Furthermore, the Viper captured the Royal Rumble match by eliminating the Miz in the end. Orton took little time in deciding that he would face Henry for the World Championship.
The World Championship match occurred at the end of SmackDown. Once again Cody interrupted and caused a disqualification in the match. Cody and Henry double teamed and started beating Orton. The Big Show ran into the ring and made the save. Big Show threw
Cody towards the Viper to get a strong RKO from Orton.
It was announced that Cody will face the Viper at Vengeance this upcoming Sunday. Although the Viper could not take back his World title but still he was having a tremendous winning streak during last week’s segments. Due to the surpassed victories, the
Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science put the Viper on the second spot of the Power 25 list. Last week, Orton continued to retain his third position with his victories.
