about the time Turpin bashed up Robinson and won the World championship, who would have come up trumps if both were,as Calzaghe is now,in their prime?Turpin, for my money ,was probably better than Alan Mintor and a tremendous athlete and boxer who I beleive would have ko'd Calzaghe, what do you think?

  1. I've got to say Turpin would have k.o'd Calazaghe between 7 and 9 rounds. Boxing was much more competitive then and Turpin stood out from a much larger field. Although at heavyweight you always have the question of how the greats of the past would have coped with today's much larger heavyweights this doesn't apply at the other weights.

  2. Joe would win.

  3. I think that Calzaghe has the power advantage and is stronger physically.  I believe that Turpin is the better boxer with faster hands.  I'm taking Turpin here by unanimous decision.

  4. Joe Calzaghe

  5. I think Randy Turpin
