Randy de Puniet and Aleix Espargaro are all set for the second half of the season – MotoGP news
Randy de Puniet and Aleix Espargaro of the Claiming Rule Teams (CRTs) Power Electronics Aspar are back after the summer break and are looking forward towards the upcoming Indianapolis Grand Prix.
Puniet said that he spent the holiday at Colin Edwards’ house and they had fun. He added that they went for dirt bikes and motocross bikes. Furthermore, he said that although it was a relaxing holiday but he has been involved into sports.
Moreover, he said that now it is time to turn back to racing after the summer has finished. He added that their approach is still the same which they had until now and they hope that the upcoming grands prix are a bit luckier in comparison to the previous
races.
Puniet said that he does not like the Indianapolis circuit as it is very tricky because of the surface of the track. He added that their objective is the same to end the race among the top CRTs.
He said, “Indianapolis is not one of my favourite circuits, it is very tricky because of the track surface, but our objective is the same as always, which is to finish as the top CRT.”
Espargaro said that the break came at the time when he wanted it. Besides, he said that he needed to end the continuous routine he had earlier. He added that he did his physical training during the break.
Furthermore, he said that he is motivated for the upcoming Indianapolis GP although the championship is long and tough. He added that they need to keep working hard in order to keep up with the success which they have achieved in the earlier part of the
current season.
Moreover, he said that his teammate is his biggest competitor on the circuit and both of them have same points in championship therefore they do not afford to lose the concentration from the championship, because every race is important.
The Spanish rider further added that he struggled at Indianapolis, last year, because he had some issues with the grip, during the Moto2 championship.
Espargaro said, “I quite like Indianapolis. I struggled with the Moto2 bike last year because it was sliding around a lot but it is a different kind of track and I love the straight because you get to ride part of the famous oval.”
Let’s see will they be able to retain the lead of CRTs teams in the champion.
