Swansea City defender, Angel Rangel let out his excitement upon the arrival of a couple of Spanish players at the Liberty Stadium, and backed them to settle quickly in the new set up.
The manager of the Welsh club, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Laudrup signed the striker Michu from the La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano, and Chico from Genoa. The former’s signature has been widely seen as an effort by the Dane to fill in the void created by their last season’s
star performer Gylfi Sigurdsson, who earlier penned a deal with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Spanish International himself arrived at the Liberty Stadium in 2007 alongside his compatriots Andrea Orlandi and Guillem Bauza. Given the trio’s close relationship and their common Spanish origin, they were given the appellation of the ‘Three Amigos’
by the Swansea fans.
Later on, the former manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.
Even though the majority of them later decamped from Swansea, Rangel welcomed his manager’s decision of signing a few more Spanish players. He felt that given the Swans playing style resembled a lot with that of the La Liga teams, the newcomers won’t find
it difficult to adjust themselves at the club.
While talking to reporters, he said: “It’s exciting times…At one point three seasons ago there were 10 Spanish people (players and staff) so it was a big group… It’s good to see so many Spanish lads are joining in and try and improve on what we have done.
I’m sure they will come here and do well for us.”
One player who has drawn a lot of attention towards himself lately is Michu. The talented midfielder was in red-hot form for Rayo during the preceding term, netting 17 goals in just 39 appearances.
Rangel heaped praise on the 26-year old on his remarkable last season, and insisted that his and Chico’s addition will bring extra value to the team.
He added, “We know he [Michu] scores goals and after losing Gylfi he will hopefully add the goals we need. I know Chico has always been a good pro. He has been a regular everywhere he has been.”
