Well, first off it's not OFFICIAL. It's from the site IFFHS, who have no affiliation with FIFA, UEFA etc.

They have come up with a relatively good system, but the problem is it's based on results over the past year, so while you could have been a fantastic team 9 months, you could be utter shite now, or vice versa.

If you really want too believe (or the Daily Record/Sunday Mail do) that Rangers are currently the 2nd best team in the world, that's fine by me. You know you're not, we know you're not, even the daily record knows you're not.

It's just token wee story to cheer up all the Huns nd give them something to smile about in these dark days.

I am a Huge Rangers fan and it is true

On page 87 of the Sunday Mail , at the bottom right hand corner , the article is called " Gers not rank rotten "

And i was just on it 5 mins ago and it shows the rankings before last season and it was :

2. Chelsea FC

3. Bayern Munich

4. Glasgow Rangers

5. Barcelona FC

But now rangers are ranked second because the reached the uefa cup final , and got a cup double , and making the top 5 best in the world is because of there history in the club , such as world record 51 , and trebles and scottish cups and games and results over the years

But i have to admit that i was surprised Celtic were were only no.52 , because there history and champions league games and really not that bad,

so even though we didnt win the spl last year or make it through the next round of qualifiers dosen,t make us S**t .

Oh and another thing for celtic fans , if you want to know what rangers will be ranked for there embarressing euro exit , then you will have to wait another year !

If you are going to use stories from a **** and bum paper, make sure that their stories are universally accepted in the various media. Have a look at this site which does indicate that the IFFHS is not rated by many serious news outlets.

And anyway, what type of clown could possibly suggest that Rangers was better than both Chelsea and Barca. It is still a bit early in the season to be grasping at straws.
