Question:

Rangers fans - Can you explain Sunday's banner to me?

This is a serious question - not a dig of any kind. I was at the old firm game on Sunday. The Ranger's fans revealed a banner saying "Since 1888" with a picture of 3 Celtic guys chasing an ambulance.

No-one that sits round about me understood it.

Is it too clever for its own good or am I missing something here?

  1. sorry , I am no use at making links on the computer but if you look up the ambulance chaser on you tube, Rico had a link a day or so ago, they appear to give the reasons for the banner,

the blue order claim its a reference to when Phil O donnell died and we wanted a postsponement (we were doing this to avoid playing the gers of course). also claims we are always mourning and jumping on the bandwagon in solidarity with others, like Justice for Hillsborough.

I didn't find it funny, but they look like wee boys in a school gym hall.

  2. Sick minded people. Friends of mine who were at the game said the number plate was in reference to tommy Burns but if investigated they would claim it was the blue order. Its a sick banner and shows them for the animals they are

  3. Not really no as there are so many things flying about it,regardless of whether it was the blue order or a tommy burns reference on the number plate,it was inappropriate after the deaths of tommy and phil.I mean why couldn't we have one that takes the mickey out of celtic like that celtic fan did about the now very famous omg they have signed kenny one, that was friggin classic.

  4. spot on spelingeror - I was absolutely p**hing myself.

BANNER : Oh My God, They've Signed Kenny !

40 mins later - Oh my God, Kenny's just killed.....................US!!!!

And in the 69th min - Oh my God, he's just killed us for a 2nd time    -  "SO   WHY  THE  F*CK  ARE   WE   STILL  HOLDING   THIS   ******'   BANNER !!! "                  W.A.T.P  !!!

  5. ffs you's lost, jesus fvck, thers banners at every game

u's r after the sympathy vote and uv done it that often ur see through, family my @rse

  6. ambulance chasing is defined as

“seeking to benefit by other than altruistic behavior.”

surely if the banner was a reference to the recent sad passing of celtic greats then the vehicle would have been a hearse...

it is more likely about how celtic have been seen to poach rangers signing targets instead of doing there own scouting...this would be called ambulance chasing...

that said,it was still a stupid banner!

  7. TBO is the abbreviation of The Blue Order...

what on earth has the banner to do with Tommy Burns (RIP)?

  8. Apparently the registration number on the ambulance was TBO1, which was a reference to "The Blue Order" and not any deceased players.

I'll update the answer as soon as I find the other references on it as unfortunately I was too busy watching the football to bother looking at fans banners-with the exception of the hilarious South Park banner held up by some Celtic fans stating "OH MY GOD, THEY'VE SIGNED KENNY!"

I'm still chuckling at that one.

Perhaps you should relax with a nice Jaffa Cake or is that too orange for you?

  9. soon there will b 4 celtic scum follow following it..Lennon is next.

  10. just to add to what adele said uefa are now also investigating this.

  11. According to various Celtic sites it was a dig at us for asking for a postponement of a match after the sad death of Phil O Donnel..the Ambulances Reg plate also said TB..which has outraged many fans.

this and the chantings about the deaths of these two is being investigated by Celtic, Rangers and the SFA....

before this..they used it to say we were all on incapacity benefits rather than out working...

no doubt I will get pelters for this but I am just writing what I have read
