Rangers looking to close out the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 6
The Texas Rangers are on top of their game and they proved their form in Game 6 of the World Series on Monday, October 24, at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, when they beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4 – 2. Now the club is looking to end the last contest
of the year in Game 6 with a title clinching win. The club knows the task will not be easy as they will head out to Busch Stadium to avail the much needed victory. Second baseman Ian Kinsler made that fact known.
"It's not going to be easy," Kinsler said. "It has been difficult all the way through the playoffs, and it's not easy to win a World Series. We just have to keep coming out with the best we have. It's been a great Series, just a bunch of great baseball games."
The Rangers have not won the World Series before and they reached the competition for the first time in 2010. Although they lost to the San Francisco Giants that year, the Texans have caught up on their experience to give the fans a good run this season.
One of the most notable figures in the in the line up happens to be Mike Napoli. Many experts are deeming 2011 as the Year of the Napoli and the catcher’s batting stint on the eight slot of the club’s roster is availing the desired effect. The player was
on the mark again in Game 5 when he pulled a double in the eighth to lead Michael Young and Nelson Cruz home for a 4 – 2 victory.
His hit came off Marc Rzepczynski and it summed up the kind of year Napoli has been having with the Rangers.
"I'm glad I can help to contribute," Napoli said. "Anybody in this line up can do it. You've got to give Beltre credit for hitting the homer to tie the game up. If he doesn't do that, I don't have a chance to do that in the eighth inning. We all do it together,
and there are key things that are overlooked, but we fought hard."
The Rangers now need one more win to clinch the title. Judging by their strategy and form, they may very well be Champions by the end of Game 6.
