Rangers reject Bolton Wanderers bid for Gregg Wylde, Ally McCoist confirms
Scottish Premier League side Rangers confirmed they had rejected a bid from Bolton Wanderers for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scotland-c756 under-21 international was linked with a move to the Reebok Stadium and the club reportedly made a bid
of £400,000 in an attempt to secure Wylde. However, Rangers have rejected the bid, claiming the player was not for sale.
Wylde will run out of contract with the Rangers at the end of next season, but the Scottish outfit are confident they can convince him to sign a contract extension. If he does not sign a new contract with his current club, then he will be able to enter a
pre-contract agreement with another side in the January transfer window.
Ally McCoist, the Rangers manager, confirmed he had no intention of parting ways with the young winger any time soon. He said he remained hopeful that Wylde would extend his stay with the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 instead of leaving for the English Premier League side. McCoist
confirmed that a bid by Bolton Wanderers had indeed been rejected.
McCoist said while speaking to reporters:
“The bid from Bolton was not accepted and I don't want Gregg Wylde to go anywhere. He is a good young talent and we feel he has done very well.
We want him to sign on again with us and we want his progress to continue here at this football club.”
While McCoist is determined to retain Wylde, the Rangers manager admitted the side was set to lose http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Qatar-c2986 outfit Lekhwiya,
while Wylde was perfectly happy with the Scottish Premier League side.
With the Algerian centre-back set to leave the Rangers, McCoist said he was going to make sure he didn’t lose any more players in the current transfer window. The Rangers boss confirmed he was looking to add more players to his squad before the transfer
window closed down. McCoist was confident he could bring in reinforcements during the two weeks remaining in the transfer window.
He continued:
“I'm hopeful with Gregg's case that a resolution can be reached and that we can get to a conclusion we are all happy with.
This is probably as good a time as ever for a young player to be coming through the ranks at Ibrox and that's the situation for Gregg too, so we hope he signs with us again.”
