Rangi Chase inks new deal with Castleford Tigers - Rugby League

Rangi Chase of Castleford Tigers has sealed a new deal at the club today, September 27. According to the new contract, Chase will stay at the franchise for the next four seasons.
By the end of this season, Chase has run mid-way through his previous contract, which was due to finish by the end of 2013.
While speaking about his extension at Castleford, Chase seemed content withvhis decision of staying longer at the club, which he joined back in 2008.
The 25-year-old shared his thoughts about the extension at his long time franchise and believes that his stay at the club is payback time for Tigers, who has given him so much. He stated, "Cas is home for me now. With Ian Millward and the new staff coming
in, I'm confident the club is heading in the right direction. I've been here for three years and I wanted to repay the club for giving me an opportunity."
In his statement, the Craig also mentioned about the recent appointment of the head coach in place of Terry Matterson, Millward and he is convinced of his potential as the future coach. Chase reckons that the franchise has the potential to grow a lot under
his coaching.
Chase is not only satisfied with his stay at the club but the chief executive of the club, Richard Wright is also hopes a lot from his continuation at the franchise.
While speaking about the latest happening within the franchise, Wright stated, "We are absolutely delighted that Rangi sees his long-term future here. We have beaten off global interest for his services from both codes of rugby and believe this to be a huge
statement of our intentions.”
He further added that with Chase’s retention at the club, they have successfully harnessed the best Super League Player, who has not only proved his mettle at the domestic level but is well-known for his exceptional feats internationally. He is in line for
this year’s Man of Steel award too.
