Former A.S Roma manager, Claudio Ranieri has revealed that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 or Manchester
United.
Ranieri labelled the 34-year-old as a lazy character and believes that he did nothing to prove himself amongst the greatest players in the world. The former Chelsea boss added that Totti could have easily been a more renowned player
had he left the Stadio Olimpico Rome for a bigger team. He added that despite winning several personal honours, the Ballon d’Or is missing in his CV and a player of this calibre certainly deserves to win it.
Ranieri admitted that he has managed few of the top players in the world including http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-Del-Piero-c4726 but the Roma skipper is undoubtedly the best of them all.
"Whether I think he's lazy? I have to agree with that yes. Nevertheless, he is the best player with whom I have ever worked. He could have won several Ballons d'Or had he left Roma for Barcelona or Manchester United.”
"I have also worked with [Frank] Lampard and [http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-c4710] Del Piero, but Francesco is the better player. The difference is that the other two have a better attitude. They always were very dedicated on the training pitch and were
the last ones to leave the ground. Totti was exactly the opposite and was the first one gone."
Totti is considered as an icon of Giallorossi for his longevity and services for the club and despite massive offers from top clubs like Real Madrid, he opted to remain at Rome. The Italian international has received criticism
from several corners for his laid back attitude and even new Roma General Manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Franco-c14050 Baldini, has warned him to overcome his laziness.
Totti has made 610 appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 thus far and has scored 262 goals in his almost 20 year stay with the club.
