look at tradition and current status of the rivalry.. Don't just look at your home state. My top 5 are the following::::

#1) Alabama/ Auburn

#2) Michigan/ Ohio State

#3) Texas/ Oklahoma

#4) USC/ UCLA

#5) Florida/ Florida State

I would say OSU Michigan first, but being from Ohio I am partial, as well.

2 I would have USC/ND. It's interregional, and two of the most storied programs in the country.

3 Auburn/Alabama.

4. Oklahoma/Nebraska. I don't care if the big 12 killed this game, it's still one of the great rivalries, and it was the only one that could compete with OSU/Michigan.

5. Army/Navy. Lots of tradition, and bragging rights for the services for the entire year.

You know all these are really good answers but one of the oldest rivalries and has probably more tradition than anybody is Army vs. Navy
