  1. 1. Moori- I use a medium hard and love it.  I can get great action on the cue ball, and also have a great feel on my touch shots (I am a touch player).

    2. Tailsman- I shot with one for about a year and I think it plays very close to a moori.  Personaly I don't notice a huge difference between the two.  Only probem I  have had with them is the ones I have used they come apart easy (the layers).  Could have been a bad batch, don't know.

The rest I have no interest in playing with so I couldn't tell you.  I shot with a Le Pro because most stock tips on cues come with them and the are pretty poopie.

  2. Tiger - In particular, the Sniper.  Love the hit, solid feel, and low maintenance.  My current tip of choice, on my playing cue and on my masse cue.  I also tried the Dynamite which totally upgraded an old Cuetec.  I have the Everest which came on a Predator shaft too.  It hits nicely, but I'm not sure how much is due to the shaft.

Talisman - I've only tried the Pro medium.  Hits with a "thud".  Feels a little bit dead, but not bad.  Haven't used it long enough to be able to comment on the durability or longevity.

Moori - I've tried the soft and the hard and didn't really like either of them.  They both hit pretty hard and stiff and there's not much feedback.  The soft needed a short break-in period during which some mushrooming occurred, but it's been good since.

Triangle - Good tip for the money, especially on stock shafts.  Needs to be taken care of.  Tends to be med-hard.

LePro - A step down from the Triangle, otherwise similar.

  3. The ones I've used:

    1.  Moori - Thick, layered tip, holds chalk extremely well, very low maintenance after the first few racks on soft tips, holds shape very well on hard.  Good english and control with this tip.

    2.  Talisman - Good quality layered tip, holds chalk very well low maintenance after the first few racks when the top of the crown has a small tendancy to flatten out on the softer tips.  Provides consistant english.

    3.  Tiger - this is really about a tie with Talisman, only lower because it's about a dollar or two more.

    5.  Elk master - marginally better than Lepro and Triangle only because I prefer a softer tip, high maintenance, wears quickly.

    6.  Triangle - marginally better than LePro

    7.  Lepro - hard as a rock, doesn't hold chalk very well, requires a lot of scuffing and you can't forget to chalk up.

I haven't ever used a viper (to my knowlege, who knows what's on house cues, but I doubt it's a viper) so I can't give you a solid review on that.

    Hope that helps,

    -Michael
