Raphael Stacchiotti dominates Men’s 400m IM race: Day one – 2011 International Swimming Festival
Raphael Stacchiotti of Luxembourg gave an inspiring attempt in the Individual Medley (IM) meet at the 2011 International Swimming Festival in Aachen, Germany, on Friday, October 14.
Zanden was the hot favourite to win the battle over his arch rivals including Netherlands’ Jens Bakker and Belgian’s Mathieu Mattelaer. Luxembourg’s athlete, Raphael Stacchiotti went full throttle and hit the finishing wall with a mouth shattering mark of
4 minutes and 18.52 seconds o to win the Men’s 400m Individual Medley meet.
In the meantime, Bakker earned second position by submitting a time of 4 minutes and 21.14 seconds and Mattelaer grabbed third spot by posting a matchless time of 4 minutes and 24.83 seconds. Jens Bakker’s compatriot Fabian Beimin impressed the arena by
powering the finishing wall in a time of 4 minutes and 25.41 seconds to secure fourth position.
David Schepers Jan of Germany picked fifth place with a time of 4 minutes and 25.42 seconds, while Netherlands’ Raymond Van De Merwe settled for sixth position with a mark of 4 minutes and 26.06 seconds. Meanwhile, the seventh place went to Belgian’s Raf
Vandevelde with a time of 4 minutes and 26.38 seconds and Steffen Hillmer of Germany settled for eighth place with a blot of 4 minutes and 30.51 seconds.
The meet produced some other interesting results in the arena, as Germany’s Max Werkmeister wound up ninth with a time of 4 minutes and 31.74 seconds and Germany’s athlete, Armin Gress settled for tenth place with a time of 4 minutes and 31.95 seconds. Additionally,
Julien Henx of Luxembourg wound up eleventh with a time of 4 minutes and 36.26 seconds and Netherlands’ Mike Marissen earned twelfth position with a spot of 4 minutes and 36.32 seconds.
Moreover, Belgian’s Machael Robbe finished thirteenth with a time of 4 minutes and 36.85 seconds and Netherlands’ Kevin Eltink earned fourteenth spot in a time of 4 minutes and 37.14 seconds. Finally, Germany’s Tim Collet was placed fifth number in the respective
meet with a mark of 4 minutes and 39.00 seconds.
