Why are the canadian raptors playing for usa in the olympics...chris bosh, kobe etc.,

What country you play for in the Olympics has nothing to do with where you play professionally. It also makes no difference that the Raptors are part of the NBA which is headquartered in the US. It has everything to do with citizenship. American born citizens play all over the world (Landon Donovan played soccer in Germany previously, but still played for the US Soccer Team since he's an American).

But same with why is Yao playing in China. That's his country. Bosh may play in Toronto but that isn't his home.
