I've been having itches for a while now. Not itches itches, but like uncontrolable itches. It gets really bad before i go to bed and it looks like i have a rash on my pubic mound. It happens every once in a while that it stays there for about a week or two, then goes away. Then comes back after a while and same thing. tonight it was really bad and i cant stop itching. Im to the point where it hurts to touch it after itching so much. it looks like theres a rash with a bunch of misquito bites or something. after a while the bite looking things on my pubic mound have tiny tiny scabs on them...what is this?

  1. this is how hubby's Morgellons started. a sore itchy swollen groin; it is now a whole body thing so I do hope it isn't that.

take a good dose of antiparasitic (worming tablets) from the pharmacy. ask the pharmacist they may be able to help you.

or it could just be the washing powder you use ... too many possibilities for any suggestion without more history as you would give a doctor..

  2. Yeah, I'd say you have crabs, which is aka pubic lice.

It's not the same as the lice on your head.

It lives in your sheets and can be transmitted through contact.

    Here's a link or two:

    Go see your doctor!!!

  3. I'd definately not be telling the world about this but since you have...best thing I can tell you is ya probably need to see a physician-there isn't ANYTHING normal about this!

  4. That's gross!!  Go see a doctor, no one on hears knows that stuff!! YUK!!

  5. There are two likely culprits: crabs or allergies.

If crabs (pubic lice- or even head lice that migrated) are an impossibility, it is quite likely you are allergic to the soap (body) or detergent (laundry) that you are using. While you can see lice, they are incredibly tiny, so seeing them is not obvious. You'll see the nits (eggs) more easily than the bugs.

The tiny scabs make me more inclined to believe lice. While there are a lot of remedies for this, the problem is you will still have to get a pesticide to kill the buggers that are now in your bed, your clothes, and everywhere else.

Go see your doctor before you go to the time and expense to clean every dang thing in your house. Because you say you shave, it is also likely you have an allergy. You will have to find something that doesn't irritate. I am allergic to many soaps and detergents. I have to use very mile soaps (Dove), I can use Tide detergent. I can't get near a dryer sheet, but have no problems using fabric softeners. I won't even allow someone else to use my dryer if they plan on bringing in dryer sheets. I'll itch 'down there' for a week!

Dawn dishwashing detergent also makes my chest break out (maybe the steam coming from the water?)

  6. I don't think it's crabs, because of the fact that it goes away. You can see crabs if you look closely. The rash and scabs might just be from itching too much. I would guess that it's an allergy, but it's odd that you wouldn't have it all over, if that's was the case.

If you're shaving your hooch, then you might be allergic to the shaving cream.

  7. i dont think you can see if you have crabs,

i think its like lice you wouldnt just see it,

but a dr's appoinment sounds like your best bet.

might be awkward and embarassing but whatsz worse telling your dr you think you have soemthign weird goin on or living with the itch

  8. Go to the doctor.  You probably have crabs.

  9. Go to the d**n doctor already!

  10. Could be scabies, public lice, or even an allergic reaction to a soap or a new medication...  I sometimes would get this from taking antibiotics.  Hope this helps.  Take benedryl for the itching.  It will help.
