Theres a rash on my leg, its like red dotty/veiny thing on the surface of my skin, (im only 17).

I think it appeared after quickly shaving so could it be a shaving rash?

Ive got no symptoms of meningitus except for a rash that doesnt disappear under the glass test,

  1. The haemorragic rash of meningococcal septicaemia occurs in the late stages of meningococcal meningitis. Though much publicised it is not a particularly useful test, as by the time the test is positive most patients are semi-conscious n the late stages of the disease. Since you have summited this question it is unlikely that  this is your problem.

I think it more likely that this is a shaving rash!

  2. it's probably just razor burn, don't worry.

  3. I think it is a rash due to shaving. Throw away the razor and keep it clean.

I replied to your other post.

Someone with meningitis will become very ill. The illness may progress over one or two days but it can also develop very rapidly, sometimes in a matter of hours. Most cases of meningitis start with a high fever, severe headache and neck stiffness (however neck stiffness is an uncommon symptom in young children). Vomiting and drowisness often follow. The person may complain of discomfort when looking at bright lights* (*however this is also an uncommon symptom in young children). In some cases a rash may appear.

  4. you just asked about this. give it some time and don't worry. if you had meningitus you would have more symptoms. you would have an awful headache and your neck would hurt like you've been in a car accident. You'd get a fever. I seriously think you have razor burn which is a rash that occurs after shaving like you described. I saw your photo from your other question and recognise the rash. I've had it too.
