Rashad Evans: I'm gonna have a little surprise for Jon Jones – UFC News
Rashad Evans will be taking on Jon Jones this Sunday at UFC 145 for the UFC light-heavyweight title. Both of the fighters are probably just waiting to get their hands on each other. In their recent face-off session yesterday, Jon Jones as usual was the quieter
one whereas Evans said he has a couple of surprises for Jones.
When asked what Evans is planning for Sunday, he said, “I'm gonna have a little surprise for him. I've been in fights like this before but the only part I guess is I just get tired of talking about Jon and the whole situation. It's to the point where I just
want to fight. I've talked about it long enough and he said whatever he said, I'll say whatever I say, and now it's just time to fight.”
While Evans thinks he is the one full of surprises, Jones thinks otherwise. In his previous interview, Jones indicated that he is the type of fighter who surprises his opponents at every point. According to Jones, all his opponents are well aware of the
fact that he has a lot of skills to offer. He further said that he is the type of fighter who does not have a plan and he does whatever he thinks is right at the time. He said he can kick and he can punch and he will throw whatever is open at his opponent
to beat him.
On the other hand, Rashad Evans, in his last media interaction, said that he is just tired with the whole idea of talking and he feels it is about time to bring it on. He even said that Jones has always wanted to fight him and he never even wanted to be
his teammate. Evans thinks that to a certain extent Jones envies him.
Both the fighters were once college friends, teammates and best buddies, but now it has been over a year since they both parted their ways. Right now, they both stand as enemies to each other, and as Rashad has indicated, there are no chances of them getting
back to their friendship once again.
