Rashad Evans’ revelations regarding Jon Jones mental health – UFC News
Rashad Evans, in his recent interview, spoke about Jon Jones’ mental condition. Of course, in his revelation no indications of a serious mental illness were recorded, but the way he spoke made Jon Jones sound like a psychological patient.
Rashad Evans will be facing Jon Jones, the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, at UFC 145. Jon Jones is Evans former friend. In this context, Evans believes he knows enough about Jones to get him down on the canvas.
While talking about Jones, Evans said, “I know the real Jon, the nervous kid who would ask me to tell him how to dress, how to talk, and how to fight. I know how he reacts when things don’t go his way, how he can’t handle it mentally. And I’ve been through
these types of pressure fights. I’ve been in these situations where emotions are involved with my fights with guys like (Michael) Bisping and Rampage (Jackson). Jon has never been in this type of situation and he’s never faced a fighter like me. I know I will
get my title back at UFC 145.”
Evans had split from Jones camp long before and since then he has been on Jones, no matter what the occasion is. According to Evans, he knows Jones so well that he can even what he is doing when and where. He said he knows all about Jones, his coaches, and
everything about his camp. He added that he could further say what he was doing in the gym right there and then.
When asked, Evans revealed that Jones is always in the same environment doing the same things over and over again with the same people. He said that he (Evans) is in a different environment and that he has been with various people and he has learned a lot.
Evans also threatened Jones by saying that Jones has no idea what he will do to him in the ring. Evans also said that he is expecting Jones to make some improvements to his training regime in order to improve himself.
By the way Evans is talking, it seems like he knows exactly what will happen in the ring.
