Latif has claimed that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/V-Sehwag-c2739 are not as sharp as they were previously, and the callow Australian bowling attack easily dominated Indian batting.
Speaking to the media today, the ex-captain said, “I reckon some of the senior Indian batsmen today are not as sharp as they used to be even two years back. Given the experience of runs that they carry with them some of them will still score runs but I don't see them dominating the Aussie bowlers like they did on previous tours to Australia or even in 2008.”
He singled out http://www.senore.com/Cricket/James-Pattinson-c1653 as the biggest threat to the Men in Blue, saying that the young fast bowler goes about his business professionally, his dauntless stamina combined with a good height, makes him a genuine pace bowler.
The former gloves man said, “I picked Pattinson as the bowler who will cause problems to the Indian batsmen the most because of his height and pace, which is ideal for Australian wickets. And no matter how great a batsman one is, with age his reflexes slows down.”
Besides Pattinson, the Australian pace attack also included http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BW-Hilfenhaus-c1204, and they also did a marvellous job, which resulted in the conclusion of the game in just three and a half days.
Pattinson earned the ‘Man of the Match’ award for his 6-wicket haul and 37 runs in the second innings. Rashid has termed the youngster, as the next Glen McGrath and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Brett-Lee-c48419 for the Australian side.
The second match of the 4 Test series takes at the Sydney Cricket Ground, starting from 3rd January, 2012. Pattinson will be hoping to repeat his exploits from the first Test, while India would be looking to square the series 1-1, heading into the third match.
