Pakistan’s former skipper/wicketkeeper Rashid Latif has slammed Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) for their double standards as the Cricket Club president revealed to tour war-ravaged Afghanistan instead of Pakistan.
Latif said, “I am shocked at MCC's double standard. Even Afghanistan's team don't practise in their country because of the war and yet MCC is planning to tour Kabul and ruling out Pakistan."
This week in an interview with BBC, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
Latif was least impressed by these statements as he insisted that Pakistan was a much safer place than Afghanistan as US-led coalition forces are still fighting a Taliban insurgency in Afghanistan, while in Pakistan life has almost returned to normal after a barrage of terrorist attacks in the last few years.
"Pakistan needs more support and if a team from the MCC tours Pakistan it will send a good message to the cricketing world," he said.
The former wicketkeeper, also revealed that he was in talks with English cricket club Lashings to tour Pakistan and was now awaiting an official response from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on the proposed tour.
When contacted, Lashings owner David Folb, backed Latif and admitted that his side was willing to tour Pakistan and had complete trust in the former wicketkeeper.

As of now, Pakistan has been playing home series in neutral venues, mainly using facilities in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 in Sri Lanka for a future tournament.
