Question:

Rasing money for my daughters friend.....?

My daughter's friend is battling cancer. We are going to raise money for cancer treatment (we haven't decided if it goes to her or research yet) but anyway were going to do it. There is a neighborhood tag sale and some of the neighbors decided to donate profits to the treatment. We are going to have some extra things but we don't know what. Any ideas? They already planned a car wash too.

  1. no ideas but YOU are VERY VERY COOOOOOLLLLL!!!!!!

  2. Have a bake sale at the tag sale, along with drinks. People scouring tag sales always get hungry and thirsty. Same thing for the car wash.

    That's great what you're doing.

  3. Talk to this girl's principal and see if you can't do something at the school.

~You could have a "Hat Week" and everyone pays $.50 to wear a hat everyday (all grades).

~You could have a talent show and charge $5.00 to enter and charge $2.00 to come watch....this worked really well at my school for a young man battling cancer.

~You could do a geocash mission.  The rules can be found on Yahoo.  Charge an entry fee and ask a local business for a prize for the winner.

~You can hold a teacher/student basketball (Football, softball) game and charge admission and sell baked goods.  (I've found that basketball works best)

~You could also organize a tennis tourney...charge $20 to sign up and have a small prize for the winner (do a men's doubles, women's doubles, men's singles, women's singles, parent/child match.....these have worked really well for me in the past).

Good luck, I hope everything goes well for this young lady!!! God bless!!!

  4. make up flyer's to do housework for people in the area, for example cleaning windows, and other housework, shoveling snow or mowing the grass. People would know that this is to raise money for a kid with cancer. Set a minimum hourly rate but ask that people donate what they can. many will give more if they know what the money will be used for.
