Rasmus Grill Noes beats Fabian Roth to win Men’s Singles U19 title at Swiss Junior Int 2012
Denmark’s spirited player Rasmus Grill Noes made his presence felt to the world as he played terrific badminton and won Men’s Singles U19 title after beating Germany’s Fabian Roth in the final battle at Swiss Junior Int 2012 on Sunday, September 30, in Switzerland.
The in-form Rasmus, who was placed at number 9 in main draw of the tournament, played with precision and managed to tame his lower ranked German opponent in an inspiring fashion.
Rasmus continued his killing run in the title match and stamped his supremacy in the arena by playing to his maximum potential.
The Danish shuttler was in complete command of the game and easily managed to win the battle in straight sets by working for just 31 minutes on court.
In the meanwhile, the un-seeded Fabian could not prove his mettle as he was completely unable to place his shots in right areas.
German shuttler failed to continue his giant killing performance in the final contest and lost the battle in a comfortable way.
Right from the initial points of opening game, Rasmus remained in control as he occupied the driving seat by playing fast badminton and pushed Fabian in all areas with his impressive skills.
The incredible Rasmus sailed smoothly in opening half of first set and took an 11-7 lead until the end of first half.
After the break, Rasmus employed variations in his shots and also utilised his wonderful deception at net.
The composed and positive play of Danish shuttler helped him to grab the first game in a completely dominating manner with a striking margin of 21-13.
In the second game, Rasmus injected more speed into his shots by taking the bird early from all areas and again set up a killing lead of 11-3 until the end of first half.
After the break, the higher ranked Danish player remained consistent in his dominating play and he easily finished the set with a huge margin of 21-13.
Rasmus won the title in a striking fashion by ending up the final battle in just 31 minutes with a 21-13 and 21-13 score on the board.
