Rat advice?

Question

I have some questions for REAL rat people. I am getting 2 male rats from a pet store and i am going soon to pet them and check them over, what should i look for and what are signs of a healthy rat? Also my other question is what should i buy for my 2 rats, please include a list of EVERYTHING i need and on the side some things that aren't neccessary but the rats love it, toys specific treats? Just any ratty wisdom would be AWESOME. Can u tell me what kinds of bedding, food, treats, toys, and stuff like that that are good for rats. Thank you so much, i know it can be annoying to have to sit and type long answers about beginner stuff (YES, i've done research but i want an expert opinion), THANK YOU SO MUCH.

I have had 4 pet rats for over a year. First off you need to look at the cage if it looks dirty and has p**p everywhere then that is not the best place. Look at the rats eyes are they bright. Also do the rats like people cuz you dont want a shy rat. Ummm you can find what they can eat on the enternet. Also don't buy rat food. Make it yourself your rats will be much happier. No pine and Cedder. Make sure to change the toys every week so they do not get bored. Have an area where they can run free.(I use my bathroom) BTW good choice rats are great pets.
