  1. Aww

    Dont be worried, xD

Shes may be trying to keep her teeth down

Try giving her salt licks chewing blocks to get her to stop

    XDD Good luck

  2. There's stuff at the pet store which you can spray on a dog leash if your dog bites the leash too much. This stuff might work for you, it'll make the bars of the cage taste bitter. If this isn't an option, maybe you want to buy her other kids of chewable toys, like sticks instead of blocks, since she may go for the skinny type of things. If it annoys you and drives you completely up the wall, you might consider a glass aquarium instead to house your rats in, which obviously gets rid of the problem. Of course, the aquarium will require extra ventillation and more frequent litter changes. Your rat might have teeth that are too long which it feels it needs to bring down using the cage, so giving it harder food, like dog treats, will also help make his teeth shorter, which might help him stop his habit of cage chewing. Of course, he might just be doing it for the heck of it too.

  3. LOL.

    Shes just gnawing.

    Its not a problem.

MOST rats do it. Mine do.

  4. yep noisy at night when you're trying to watch tv or go to sleep ....i guess she is gnawing so maybe get her a wood chew toy and fix it on the cage ...or if you have a fruit tree (apple or pear) branch for her to gnaw..make sure it's leaves are not on it and bug free...:D enjoy your ratties :D

  5. Rats have a very large habit of Biting their items of interest and then blowing on it! You should consult your vet and check to see if she has teething problems! Adults and child rats have this habit!

  6. she might be bored. rats are highly intelligent and need things to do when their in their cage. i have toys for my girls and they don't chew their cage. get inventive with the things that you give your rats. stuff treats into empty toilet paper rolls and stuff the ends with toilet paper and watch them chew their way thru it. if you don't have a wheel for the cage try getting one and see if she likes it. most of my females LOVE their wheel.  rats LOVE eggs, cook a hard boiled egg (don't take the shell off) and watch her roll it all over the cage to get it opened. its great entertainment for them and you!

rats do NOT need salt licks, and i certainly would NOT spray anything on the cage to stop her from biting it... for all you know it might be toxic to your rats.

google pet rat sites and see what you can get in the way of entertaining your ratties.

good luck to you and your rats.
