  1. THIS IS JUST MY STORY OF WHAT HAPPENED WITH MY RATS, it doesn't mean that all rats are terribly evil, they are really cute and playful and once you get to know them they become your best of friends. But here's what happened to me, My rats chewed a hole in their cage in about a week and escaped every single day, I had tons and tons of toys and 'activites' for them but they still escaped. It horrified me to the point of almost throwing up because having a pet escape into your room is scary and I dont know why. I had to buy another cage which I spent a couple of pain staking days doing modifications on. They bit me to the point of bleeding even though I played with them for an hour every day. They peed on me. They pooped on me. I got so scared I could barely open their cage every day to give them food. And thats the story. Please doing give me a hundred million thumbs down because not all rats are like this!! Rats are loving and playful and energetic and I gaurentee if you try yours will become the perfect pet. Good luck!!

  2. I had rats when i was younger. They don't bite and they are easy to take care of and train.

  3. Rats are pretty nice animals, they don't bite for the most part and they don't stink as bad as some rodents. They do not eat too much, so they are not too expensive. Chinchilla's are incredibly cute, but they are bigger and they need more space to run around, which can be hard if your house is small.

I think guinea pigs are the best, they are so people oriented and sweet. The girls don't stink, and they love to be handled. You can potty train them with a lot of effort, too.
