Rat toy that im unsure about?

can i put a CLEAN sock in my rats cage ( im getting rats tomorrow) or will my rat chew it up and die. im so unsure. i've done a lot of research but am still unsure about that

Yes you can but take the elastic out.

They should be fine, just take it out when they start ripping it apart. I run the Richmond Rat Rescue and I love to put paper rolls and pouches (easy to make) plus the rats love it. They also love empty tissue boxes!

People use socks frequently, cotton certainly won't cause damage.  Rats don't swallow what they chew, impaction is extremely uncommon.

The danger with cottons is it fraying and rats getting their nails or toes caught, or threads wrapped around body parts.  Keep an eye out and remove any frayed bits.

Yes... i put socks in my rats cage and usually they tuck inside it and sleep in it. Just make sure to take it out and wash it every once in a awhile. If they chew it up bad, throw it out.

They'll be fine. Rats like to chew on and shred things, but I don't think they actually eat it. Like, they shredded two of my curtains and part of a plastic food bag and are perfectly fine.
