Rat urinary tract infection

how long does it normally last after treating with antibiotics? thanks thanks!!

Check with your vet...UTI's are not common but they should be able to give you an idea how long for the symptoms to go away.

BTW if you try some sweetened cranberry juice in your rat's water bottle it may help..their urinary tract is very much like ours and the extra vitamins won't hurt them at all.

I guess you can use the rat as a guinea pig and find out.

I'd say within a week if you can keep her hydrated.

How in the world does one discern that a rat has a UTI???

I'm with what the others said but I do not suggest putting cranberry juice in there water. It will just make thurstier. Give him dried cranberries because they are good for the UT.
