Rat with torn ear?

My rats just had a fight and now one has a torn ear. I can't get to the vet for two days, is there anyway to help the rat? Make her more comfortable? I feel helpless.

For a torn ear Citrosept Grapefruit Seed Extract Liquid is the best. Its not expensive and you just put one drop on the wound and it'll help it heal. It really is amazing stuff and it helps take the pain away.

Id say dilute some dettol of some sort or tea tree oil and clean the wound with it.(warm water)  

Make him as comfy as possible.

Has he got any mates in the cage.

If he has there most likely was a fight that broke out.

But that is very uncommon for rats but it is a possibility

Make sure you always watch to make sure they`re only play fighting and not fighting seriously, otherwise this of course will lead to little accidents.

He should be ok as long as it is not bleeding. If any time you feel in doubt and think that it looks serious or gets infected, you should take it to the vet.

if its not bleeding it should be ok but make sure they don't fight again and make it worse. also watch for infection try keep it clean and try to stop the rat from scratching or touching it.

If its stopped bleeding it'll be fine don't worry. If it hasn't just hold some cotton wool or something on it to get it to stop and just make sure it stays quite clean so it doesn't get infected

another good way to ward off infection is warm salt water- I find detol or tea tree oil can be too strong on thier skin sometimes, even when diluted. I hope your little buddy gets better soon!
