i run a monarch deck as well, but mine is a macro-monarch deck and it works a bit better than my old deck, which was much like yours. Bascially, what i did was i replaced the treenborn frog,and the GK monsters with

3 Dimension Fissures

3 D.D. Survivors

3 D.D. Scouts

2. Banisher of Raidiance

This way, if i tribute my dd survivor or dd scout, they are removed from play by the effect of dimension fissure, then their effect actiavtes summoning them back on my end phase. This is very similar to treenborn frog except scout and survivor have more att and def making them more prone to survive. I also use a d.d. deck with dd assalient/dd return...ect as muscle power to stall oppenent along
