We had the draft last night and I had last pick in a 10 man league. It was a snake draft so I figured I would have to use that to my advantage with it being hard to pick 2 picks then wait 19 to do it again.

QB Peyton Manning

RB Clinton Portis

RB Ryan Grant

WR Chad Johnson

WR Anquan Boldin

TE Antonio Gates

K Shayne Graham

DEF Seattle

Bench

QB: David Garrard

RB: Ronnie Brown

RB: Rashard Mendenhall

WR: Laverneus Coles

WR: DeSean Jackson

TE: Ben Watson

K: John Kasay

DEF: Buccaneers

I have high hopes for Peyton and was glad to get him first with a follow up of portis. Chad Johnson was sitting there at the end of the 5th round so despite his injury I just had to pick him up. Glad hes atleast trying but if he goes out Ill have Favres main man Coles to back it up with DeSean Jackson being a "hot rookie". So well see.

No team really dominated the draft its pretty even with everyone.

  1. Not bad at all for a 10 man league.  If your guys stay healthy, I think you could make a run.

    Gates is a beast.

I think some of the posters here are unaware how a live draft works.  You can't just pick whover you want.  There's a draft order and you pick what's left.  Adrian Peterson, for example, is gone in the first 3 picks of any live draft.

  2. Its decent. But that's all it is.

For RB you should definitley have Adrian Peterson. The kid is a hot shot on the rise. who knows what hes gonna do this year.

shayne grahm has seen better days as well.

  3. Yeah that seems pretty solid to me..  great qb... solid running and receiving core.  My only concern about your team would be that Clinton is injury prone and your best back up (ronnie brown) is banged up with a knee injury.  Both should be good to go at the start of season.  But that would really be my only concern.  Great TE's.  Kickers and Defense are solid.

    Nice Draft :]

  4. It depends on your scoring system.  If you picked last in the draft, I'm really not a fan of picking Manning there.  His knee problem and I just don't think he'll have huge stats this year.  But, if you get 6 points for all Td's, he might be worth it.  The real problem with picking your QB there is when it gets to you again, the RB and WR options are limited.  I'd rather go RB-RB there in the 1st round to have 2 good RB's, or go RB-WR there to get a stud RB and then a stud WR.  And wait to get a quality QB.

I also don't think Chad Johnson will hold up all year.  But where you got him might be a nice pick.

Don't listen to others about defense or kicker.  No one knows who'll be good there.  I think you'll end up playing Tampa's defense a lot.

    I'd give you a 7.

  5. theyre all

  6. 10

  7. Pretty good choice on almost all positions except for Chad and Peyton.   Don't think they'll be ready for this season.  I somewhere read their injuries aren't healing soon.

I think I'd go with Reggie Wayne and Tony Homo.

  8. Nice team. I'd give it a 9 out of 10.  Your RB depth is a bit weak.  I would handcuff Portis with Betts as that's one of the best handcuffs in the league.

  9. 9/10

  10. Very good, there's only weakness with the DEF and K.

Incredible that Gates & Boldin went that late in your draft -- these must be kids/yougn teens, that you have vs. you, in this League. Taking Chad that early really didn't hurt you -- although you have a wait for him, to be productive.

Your DEF is weak, that's certain. But your RBs are very good. WR Coles is your best sleeper pick. GL.

  11. I like Peyton, would of hoped there was something better than Portis at 11.  But he should get a lot of carries.  Not too many people have talked about Grant and I think he will be good.  Not excited about WR but having Coles on the bench will help.  Gates and Graham should be ok.  I do like the SEA def they have play makers there.  You really going to have to ride Peyton and you RBs.  You will be in the running but may need to make some big moves throughout the year.

  12. I would give it a 9/10
