  1. Here is a link to a photographer who often uses a Canon Powershot very much like your own.

At this stage, your camera is not really holding you back.  You have some nice snapshots for your album.  As a novice, critique without intensive instruction really won't do you much good.    By all means, take a class or two.  That will help your photography advance far more than a new camera.    If you're interested in photography, you can begin to learn the technical and artistic stuff on your own.   Look at good images (not from myspace, but from magazines and professional websites)  Study them, paying close attention to the light and composition.  Try duplicating some of your favorites in your own world.  Keep learning and practicing and your skill and image quality will grow.  Best wishes, and enjoy your hobby!

  2. very nice.

  3. very cool :) you should go for it, i like your camera

  4. i like how bright the colors are in your pics. one suggestion (like on the dog ones) you can never get too close to your subject, and try to get on their level and funky positions....like lay on your back and have the dog come up to you and see what you get. or focus in completely just on his face. just close in. i would encourage you to take some classes....and don't be safe. try anything and see what works and what doesn't.

  5. wow its good

  6. You have potential but honestly it could take you 5 or ten years...it took me longer than that. Do you have that kind of patience, that kind of commitment?

  7. Ok, hopefully you're looking for honesty here.  You take snapshots.  At your level, having a better camera is not going to improve your photos. With a fancy camera, you will just take more snapshots, though they'll be higher resolution.  Higher resolution doesn't make them any better.  You should study composition and design.  Change up the angles a bit.  Try taking a shot from a kneeling position, see how that looks.  Experiment a bit more, and maybe check out some books on photography.

  8. The fist 3 are really awsome. So are the flower ones. Love the angles. Most of the others are OK.... .

I would try to find ANYTHING out-of-the-ordinary to do with the photo to take a good shot. by this i mean finding angles or different dimensions or layers. close ups when done in an interesting way are really good. you can also try some effects on the camera to make a regular picture shine. Capturing a moment of emaotion always works well....you can also take a photo when nobody is expecting it. (natural )...

Good luck. The camera is fine by the way. You might have some promise. keep pressing that button ( on the camera i mean).
