Rate of Enzyme Reaction Question?

To double the rate of an enzyme reaction, can I increase the temperature by 10 degrees C? Explain. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  3. Depends upon the enzyme and initial starting temp.

    To simply say increasing a temp by 10C is a bad error, it may actually decrease the rate effect.

    If starting temp 30C yet double to 60C in most biological enzymes this would be terrible.

    You need to assess what enzyme it is, what the nominal operatng temperature is
