  1. Kelly Pavlik:

    -Hand speed- 6.5/10; he has decent handspeed, but he has honestly looked slow to me in all of his fights.  Even though he beat Jermain Taylor convincingly twice, I still think Taylor is faster.

    -Chin-8.5/10; yes, he was stupid for clowing around against Jermain Taylor and he paid for it by getting dropped, BUT that was only the second time that was dropped in his pro career.  And, he took ALL of Taylor's follow up attack on shaky legs and never went down.  The only other fighter that dropped him was Fulgencio Zuniga and Zuniga is a very good puncher.  Plus, Pavlik took the best shots from one of the hardest pound for pound punchers in boxing today- Edison Miranda, and he never went down.

    -Power-9/10; he has got serious one punch knockout power, and his fights with Edison Miranda and Jermain Taylor proved that.

    -Jab-8/10; It is a good stiff jab when he uses it and it can be one of his most effective weapons.  I would rate it higher, but it is not fast enough in my eyes.

    -Punch output-10/10; He was able to beat Jermain Taylor in their rematch because of his puch output; he simply outworked Taylor in that fight.  He also beat Edison Mirand because he was coming forward more oftenly and landing way more punches.

    -Defense- 7.5/10- he got hit with some unnecessary shots in the second Jermain Taylor fight that he would have blocked if he just kept his hands up.

    -Foot speed- 7/10- he is not that fast on his feet.

    Arthur Abraham: I cannot really rate him because I have only seen clips, but from what I've seen, he is a pretty good and very strong middleweight.  Based on what I've seen, I would probably have him just below Pavlik in every area.

    Edison Miranda:

    -Hand speed- 6/10; he does not have fast hands.

    -Chin- 8/10; he was dropped by Pavlik, but he took a lot of Pavlik's best shots and he never stayed down.  He also took the best Arthur Abraham had to offer and many feel that he should have won their first fight.

    -Power-10/10; I really think that he is the hardest pound for pound puncher in the game right now.  I know that Pavlik knocked him out, but the reason why Pavlik stopped him was because Pavlik is the all-around better fighter.  If you are just rating them on power, then Miranda is definately the harder puncher.  Look at what he did to David Banks and Arthur Abraham's jaw.

    -Jab-7.5/10; when he uses it, it can be very effective because it sets up his killer right hand (which is the best in boxing today), but thats really ALL its good for- setting up his right.

    -Punch output- 7/10- Lately he has gotten better, but in a lot of his past fights, he has solely relied on his right hand, and as a result, he does not throw his other punches nearly enough.

    -Defense-5.5/10- this is definately Miranda's weak point.  Allan Green was getting dominated and looked like c**p when he fought Miranda, but he still put him down, and the reason was because Miranda does not have that great of a defense, same thing when he lost to Kelly Pavlik.

    -Foot speed-7/10; he is a banger who does not rely on his footwork, he relies on his right hand more than anything.

    Miguel Cotto;

    -Hand speed-7.5/10; I would have him lower, but in his last two fights against Shane Mosley and Alfonso Gomez, he showed that both his handspeed and boxing ability have increased greatly.  He was actually outboxing Mosley in certain parts of that fight, and he landed the same amount of punches as Shane in that fight.

    -Chin- 6.5/10- I still remember Demarcus Corley almost knocking him out, I still remember Ricardo Torres dropping him, I still remember Zab Judah stunning him early, and I still remember him RUNNING from Shane Mosley down the stretch of their fight.  There are too many bad memories of his chin for me to rate him higher.

    -Power- 8.5/10; he does not have one-punch knockout power like Edison Miranda, but he can hit and he steadily wears his opponents down to the point where they cannot/do not want to continue anymore.  I remember his fight with Gianluca Branco where Branco blocked the majority of his punches, but he still quit because Cotto's punches were hurting his arms that much.

    -Jab-7/10; his jab is decent, but his best punch by far is his left hook to the body.

    -Punch output-8.5/10; His handspeed may be a bit lacking, but he does throw a lot of punches, and the majority of them are the type that keep you backing up- they are not "pitty pat" punches.  It will be interesting to see how he fights Antonio Margarito.

    -Defense-7.5/10; his defense has improved over his past few fights.  I sometimes see him use the "crab-stlye" defense that worked well for Ken Norton and Archie Moore, and it worked for him in the fights with Mosley and Gomez.

    -Foot speed-7/10; He does not really rely on his footwork to get him out of danger or to endanger his opponents.  When he is in trouble, he fouls you (Zab Judah fight), and when he has you in trouble, he stops you.

    Antonio Margarito;

    -Hand speed- 7.5/10; his hands are not that fast, but its just the fact that he throws so many punches per round that wears his opponents down.

    -Chin-10/10- this man can take the best punches from ANYBODY 160 pounds and lower and smile afterwards like it was a tap.  He took the best of Kermit Cintron (who is a very strong puncher) like it was nothing.

    -Power-8/10- a lot of people tend to overrate his power.  He is very strong, but if he had Edison Miranda type power, he would have been able to beat Paul Williams, and he didn't do that.

    -Jab-6.5/10; he relies on looping hooks and uppercuts to get the job done.  After the first few minutes of a fight, I usually don't see him jabbing too much.

    -Punch output-9.5/10- He is almost perfect in this category.  He throws more than 100 punches a round and he will never let up, which is why I think even if Cotto beats him, it will be BY FAR his toughest fight.  I would have him at 10, but if he was a 10 in this category, then he would have been able to beat Paul Williams because Williams actually outworked Margarito.

    -Defense-6/10- He has a tendency to leave himself open to get countered when he is throwing his looping power punches.  He also has the tendency to cut; even though he killed Cintron, he still managed to get cut in that fight.  If Cotto uses his boxing skills, I think that he can beat Margarito in their upcoming fight.

    -Foot speed-7.5/10- the only times he uses his feet are when his opponent is in retreat or at the beginning of a fight.  Afterward, he sets up and bangs away.

    Floyd Mayweather, Jr.;

    -Hand speed- 9.5/10- he has very fast hands and is the most accurate puncher in the game today; he is a precision puncher and his handspeed contributes to that greatly.

    -Chin-10/10- he has only been "dropped' once in his career, and the only reason why he went down was because his hand was hurting him.  No one has ever really got to his chin in that sort of way to wear it looks like he is hurt and may go down.  I remember Demarcus Corley hit him with some hard shots in one round and Mayweather took some, rolled the others, and then came back even stronger than before.  And this was back when Corley was a true force, not like when he fought Cotto and still managed to almost stop him.

    -Power-7.5/10; he DOES have power and that was shown in his last fight when he knocked out Ricky Hatton, but it is definately not his strong suit, at least as a welterweight.  When he was lighter, he had more power, but as he started to face the bigger guys, he started winning by relying more on his boxing skills and defense.

    -Jab-8/10- It is not the best jab I've ever seen, but it is extremely effective when he uses it.  I remember seeing him snap Hatton's head back with his jab, and it looked like Hatton was getting shot or something.

    -Punch output-7/10; his fortay is not volume punching like Margarito's, instead, he relies on precision punching.  Thats why after all of his fights if you look at the punch stats, his percentage landed almost doubles compared to his opponents.

    Defense-10/10; this is his best category.  He currently is the best defensive fighter in the game; it may not always LOOK good, but it gets the job done EVERY TIME, thats why to this day, he is still undefeated.

    Foot speed-9/10; he has very good foot speed to go along with his hand speed.  I remember watching the Oscar De La Hoya fight, and Oscar kept getting frustrated because every time, he threw a punch, Mayweather had moved out of the way, and was already making his way to a different position in the ring.

    Joe Calzaghe;

    -Hand speed-9.5/10; at super middleweight, it was already really good, but at light heavyweight, it is even better.  I'm not really a big fan of his, but the man has fast hands and there is no denying it.

    -Chin-7.5/10; I would have him higher, but I can still see him getting dropped by a 43 year old Bernard Hopkins, and it makes me think what someone like Kelly Pavlik would have done.

    -Power-6/10- he has a pretty high knockout percentage, but lets face it- the guy slaps with his punches.  Yes, he hit Hopkins with over 230 punches, but if they were REAL punches, then Hopkins would have looked like the Hunchback of Notre Dame after that fight.  He has a lot of stoppages on his record becuase of his volume punhing not his power.

    -Jab-9/10; he has a "piston-like" jab, meaning that he shoots it out very fast from his southpaw stance.  And, it is probably the only punch that he doesn't slap with; he actually puts good force on it.

    -Punch output-9.5/10- this is his best category; the man throws over 100 punches a round which is pretty astonishing considering that he is a 168/175 pounder.

    -Defense-7.5/10; his defense is not all that great, its just that he doesn't allow his opponent to get set and throw a punch because he's constantly moving and throwing combinations from weird angles.  He also keeps his hand
