Rate this Fantasy Baseball Trade?

Question

I just traded Nate Mclouth, Brian Roberts, and Michael Young for Ian Kinsler, David Murphy, and Orlando Cabrera(Most Likely a throwaway guy)

What do you think?

I think you may have gotten the short end of the deal with this one.  That being said, I wouldn't say that cabrera is a throw away just yet.  He has always been a 2nd half player, so you should hang onto him.  As far as Kinsler, he's become a fantasy stud this year (#6 overall, yahoo standings) and David Murphy is a nice surprise.

McLouth has been great this year but hasn't had a season like this before so there is risk there.  Roberts has been underproducing (for his standards), so it may end up being a nice trade in your favor.  The rangers haven't had a problem hitting this year (see Josh Hamilton) so you know you'll get production out of the two guys you got.

I would like to see the rangers make some noise finally, but I still think their pitching is too many years away.  Good luck.

I think this trade is a wash.  McClouth and Young are having good seasons, while Roberts has lost some power recently.  Kinsler is another future star whose stock is still rising, while Murphy is doing ok so far.  The wild card is Cabrera.  A good second half would swing this trade in your favor.
