Rathanny Ruso up for a fourth win in a row in the Betfred Gymcrack – Heat 2
The most highlighted entry for the Betfred Gymcrack – Heat 2 is Rathanny Ruso. The race is scheduled for Sunday, 10th June at Kinsley over 462 metres flat. Contesting along Rathanny Ruso are Viking Bert, Maireads Lass, Highview Jack, Lookoutforoscar
and El Dreamer.
The prize money set for the winner is £125.
The only thing that the two-year-old fawn son of Ballymac Maeve out of b***h, Dromkeen Orla, has done is, win. The current season marks out to be the debut season for the lightly raced hound.
His entrance into the racing career began with a 268 metres training session at Kinsley on 29th April. Rathanny Ruso went through the track distance in 16.51 seconds.
His career debut was in a 268 metres race at Kinsley. He made it to the other end of the wire in 16.03 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Ardkill Sweep, by 4 ¼ lengths.
His next try of the career was at a gap of six days as he raced through 462 metres at Kinsley on 12th May. He reached the other end of the wire in 27.63 seconds and took charge of the final fourteen lengths. Winning by such a massive margin so
early in the career was an achievement in itself.
Racing across the wire the closest to the winner was Coxgreen Dysert.
This win was the second leg of the hat trick as Rathanny Ruso held on firmly to the third outing of the season.
On 2nd June, the two-year-old won a 462 metres race at Kinsley by completing the trip in 27.83 seconds and leading the runner up of the race, Pudding Burner, by three lengths.
Striking a hat trick straight out of the first three career tries is not something that is easy or even possible for every hound to achieve. He is now headed for the fourth outing of the season and that too at the same race course where he is habitual of
winning.
Winning the race today will mean that he will extend the hat trick and notch it up to four.
