Rathbeg Duchess expected to prevail in the Bettor.com Standard Div 2
Rathbeg Duchess is expected to win the Bettor.com Standard Div 2 at Shawfield in England on Friday, April 13, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will be awarded a cash prize of £200.
A total of six quality hounds will be seen in action and their names are as follows: Rathbeg Duchess, Strange Ozzy, Lassies Legend, Greenwell Zeus, Fabulous Sirocco and Killieford Khali. The 480 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 19:55 GMT.
The distance to cover is not much, which will help Rathbeg Duchess, who is a very good starter. This is why the bookies have rated her as the favourite to win the race. She might also win the faith of the bettors, who are likely to place a lot of bets in
her favour.
The G. Kennedy’s trained runner has been taking part in a lot of trial runs recently. She has done well in such events, but the important thing is to deliver better results in this class.
Looking at the race form of Rathbeg Duchess, it does not appear that she is in good rhythm right now. She finished fourth in her most recent outing, thus it will be hard for her to regain the winning momentum.
The black b***h is the daughter of Royal Impact out of Bright Duchess and was born in July 2009.
The bookies have also given pretty decent odds to Strange Ozzy, who is not a regular in this class. However, he is a seasoned runner and will definitely challenge his rivals today. He finished fourth in his previous outing, but has the ability to bounce
back.
The G. Carmichael’s trainee is fully aware of the conditions at Shawfield, thus the punters will be interested in risking some money on him.
Strange Ozzy is the son of Kinloch Brae out of Lerrig Lass and was born in November 2009.
Other than the top two favourites, Lassies Legend will also give a tough time to his rivals. He is a very good runner, but needs to bring some consistency in his overall performances.
The rest of the runners do not seem to have any chances of winning today, but anything can happen in racing, as it is an unpredictable sport.
