from 1960 to 1979, with 501 appearances. Gianni has made an impressive total of 122 goals for the Serie A club. The 67-year-old has been nicknamed as the ‘The Golden Boy’ of Italian football.

Franco Baresi is an Italian football coach and a former football player. He played for AC Milan and the Italy National football team as a footballer. He was positioned as a sweeper on the field. Nicknamed as Piscinin, meaning the “Little one,” Baresi spent

Born in Travagliato, Italy, Baresi is regarded as one of the greatest defenders ever to step on the football grounds. He played for Milan from 1977 to 1997. During his twenty year’s stint with the side, Baresi made an amazing number of 719 appearances, with
33 goals. He won many laurels including the Serie A six times, Coppa Italia four times, Italian Supercup four times, the Champions League thrice and the Intercontinental Cup twice. He also triumphed over the 1982 FIFA World Cup.

League five times, Serie A titles seven times, Coppa Italia once, Supercoppa Italiana five times, five European Super Cups and two Intercontinental Cups.
The brilliant Italian player earned 126 caps for Italy. He captained Milan and the Italy National football team for several years, leading them to victory many times. He made 647 appearances for Milan, with a score of 29 goals. Indeed, Paolo is one of the
most revered football players of all times, who rightly deserves the number one position on this list.
