Rats Behavior - Mother Father and Babies?

I bought a 110$ cage for my 2 pet rats. When the female had her babys I split the cage into to.

The little ones are quite big now, and there is 12 of them running around, I think they would have a lot more fun they could play with the WHOLE cage.

Right now I have the 3 blue platforms going across the middle of the cage so the male is on top and the mom and little ones on bottom.

What Im really wondering if the father would be okay with 12 little brats running all around him 24-7

I dont want to put the babys with the dad so they arnt in 'his' space. But I also dont want to throw him in the bottom, Idk if the mom will try to hurt him or if he would be to overwhelmed. I love my babies no deaths plx <3

If I try to put a few babys and the father on my bed, they get to excited about being on the bed, they dont really notice eachother. thats all.

 1. How old are the babies? Babies need to be separated by s*x by five weeks of age or they can breed. Keep the boys with dad and the girls with mom. And stop backyard breeding, please.

 2. Hmm...I don't think I'd keep the father with his babies, or even the mother depending on how old they are. As with other species, the mother may cannibalize her children if the father is around or the father may kill his children. Another thing is that the father could inbreed with his daughters, or the male babies may inbreed with their mother. Thats a whole other issue. I'm no rat expert or anything, but I'm pretty sure you need seperate cages! :)

 3. How big are they now. It has been known that the dominate males will bite and sometimes kill the babies. Once they get bigger it would be safer except for the reproduction factor.
