Question:

Rats and Rabbits what will they do?

Okay, sometimes I put my rabbits in the bathroom to let them be out of the cage. A lot of time they just sorta sit in the corner. If I took them in there and let them hang out and then took my rats in there and let them out (with me in here too of course) would there be a problem?

  1. If the rabbits have been in the bathroom before, they have probably already decided that it's their territory. I wouldn't suggest letting your rats mingle with the rabbits, at least not in the bathroom. You can try introducing them on neutral territory, a place where neither the rabbits nor the rats have been before. Otherwise, you're bound to have bunny aggression on your hands. And probably rat blood too.

  2. I wouldnt personally do that. Chances are, it would be fine, but I once let a guinea pig out with a hamster, and the hamster bit the guinea pig on the nose!

Different types of rodent dont often mix well.

  3. Yes that could be a big problem. I suggest getting a backyard for your animals to run around in! Not a bathroom!i

  4. Beside the smell of rabbit and rat c**p in your bathroom?

    Get a dog or cat

  5. If your rats are human friendly they should be okay with the rabbit. I had a friend who had a free range rat who was totally buddies with her rabbit. You'll definitely have to supervise at first, but usually this match is okay.

  6. Since rabbits and rats multiply very fast,

because, thats what they do "best."

I hope you know the word "infestation." <}:-})
