Rats or mice????????

Question

i want either a rat or a mouse and i cant decide which is better what do you think is better?

Rats don't like to get picked up and are mostly not so easy to tame , rats are not more expensive and 2 females are not better than 2 males!

Female rats are more dominant and will fight for sure!

Best is 2 males and if they are from the same nest thats even better.

But you must take 2 no matter what you choose

But i would take gerbils if i was you they are really sweet and very easy to tame. They look like rats but much sweeter.

They are actually desertats, are very curious and social so they will come on your hand from day1.

search for pictures on yahoo or google just type gerbils and you'll see how sweet they are.

Ithink gerbils are the best choice if you can't choose between a mouse or rat.

Definitely a rat! I recommend a girl but that's just because I can't stand the testicles on the males ;) Mice are great fun to watch when they're in their cages but you can't do much with them. A rat will happily sit on your shoulder for rides around the house, can learn to come to their name, and do tricks. Mice just...exist.

i have a mouse, they are very cute but not that entertaining whereas rats are very entertaining and quite clever and can be trained.

i would go with the rat

mice are ok, they can be fun, but a rat will play with you and want to be petted and loved on.

Go with a rat. They can be handled and played with. Mice are mostly for show and are to quick to be handled. Rats are also so clean and tidy, I've heard you can potty train them. Mice on the other hand go wherever they please.

I got a mouse when I should've gotten a rat.

Get some rats. They are soooo much better. But please please please get 2 because they are very social animals and need another rat to be happy. Ask anyone.

I agree with Rats being more like little dogs.

They love affection, Cuddles and even tickles

YES! They are easy to train-They even respond to their names

BUT the younger you get them the more succes your likely to have with the training and you have to develope a trust with them b4 anything.

And like any other creature in the training progress  you must have patience!

I have 3 rats myself.

Mice are cute...But that's about it.

If you get a rodent you do not have to get 2

as long as you play with your little one daily and don't neglect

it- You are suficient companion to them.

There is no "BEST" choice -There is only "YOUR" choice and preference

over what creature you can handle keeping. After all you will be the one establishing the relationship and trust with the little one.

Some prefer rats some are all about a mouse.

It's a personal preference.

My rats are wild brown rats that were brought to me as orphans.

Since I got them as babies they were easier to tame, mine are not domestic house rats and even then they rock my socks.
