Raul Gonzalez ready to sacrifice 2 million Euros per annum in order to stay at Schalke

stay with the club.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Raul-c30652 has been an important member of the Veltins-Arena outfit since joining them from Real Madrid in 2010. The Spaniard already has four goals to his credit this season from 10 league appearances and is expected to do wonders in the coming months.
Schalke manager Huub Stevens was all praise for the veteran striker, encouraging him to stay at the club. Stevens also guaranteed a new contract to the player if he is ready to sacrifice 2 million Euros he receives annually from Real Madrid.
The striker earns a total of seven million Euros per annum: 2 million from Los Blancos and the remaining 5 million from the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Blues. The agreement with Madrid, though, is about to expire at the end of current campaign.
In order to extend his stay in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904, Raul will definitely have to let go of the impressive amount; failure to do so will force the former Real Madrid legend back to Spain.
Previously, Raul showed eagerness to leave the club after getting involved in a spat with the former manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ralf-c30492 Rangnick. However, Rangnick later resigned from his post citing health concerns.
Since then, Raul has has settled perfectly under the new manager and is now considering extension to his stay in Veltins-Arena.
Schalke CEO Clemens Tonnies has applauded the striker over his commitment, urging him to carry on his journey for at least another season.
While talking to reporters, Tonnies further mentioned, "I am very proud of every minute that Raul plays with us. Perhaps he will indeed turn out for us for another year."
Raul helped Schalke to the DFB Pokal triumph early this year and also led them to the semi-final of the 2010/11 UEFA Champions League. Schalke are currently third in the Bundesliga with 18 points from 10 games and Raul’s presence would certainly give them
a chance to fight for the title.
