Raul Gonzalez unsure of his future at Schalke

The Royal Blues striker is uncertain over his future at the club after recent reports linked him with a move away from Veltins-Arena at the end of this season.
The former Spanish international has revealed that talks regarding his future will restart in January once he returns from the traditional winter break.

However, it will only happen if Raul fails to sign a new deal with the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Blues. The striker is believed to be asking for a wage improvement but the Gelsenkirchen bosses are reluctant to meet the Spaniard’s demands.
The striker receives 2 million Euros from Schalke and also gets an additional five million Euros from his former club, Real Madrid. This deal will expire at the end of this term and Schalke are not in a position to offer anything
above the current amount to the veteran striker.
Raul has shown the desire to stay in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 for another year after witnessing success during his short stay thus far.
While talking to Sky Deutschland, the former Real Madrid striker further elaborated:
"I will continue to play [at Schalke in the meantime], but discussions [regarding my future] are scheduled for January."
The former Spain international was talking in the wake of a stunning hat-trick he scored against Werder Bremen on Saturday, December 17. Schalke trounced the Green-Whites 5-0 at Veltins-Arena. Raul’s goals came in the 16th,
20th and 63rd minute, respectively.
The striker has scored 10 goals from 17 league appearances thus far this season as compared to 13 he bagged during the 2010/11 campaign.
It is believed that the veteran will reunite with Los Blancos if he does not agree to sign a new deal with the Veltins-Arena outfit in January. The 34-year-old previously represented the Whites for 16 years and netted 228 goals
in 550 league appearances. He has also helped the former Spanish Champions win 16 major trophies.
