In a press conference, the Spanish chairman states that the club has a competitive squad that will be able to keep them in the top flight.

After finishing 15th in the last La Liga season, Rayo Vallecano stand undefeated after three matches this season.
However, despite such an impressive start for the club, Martin Presa states that the main objective of the season is to avoid being relegated, something which seems more possible after he examines his squad and the club’s statistics during this campaign.
Presa also stated, “I think the team is competitive. We have two players per position, which, if we have the same misfortune with injuries as we did last year, will help us a lot.”
Presa further accepted that he is confident with his team, stating that the squad is capable of keeping their pace this season.
He also commented on how tough it will be for them to maintain their position, especially since they are at an economic disadvantage, and had to rebuild the team from last season.
The club has spent many seasons back and forth in different division.
They’ve taken part in every division of the Spanish league and currently they are playing in La Liga.
However, since they ended in a disappointing position last season, they have to pick up the pace in order to stay where they are.
Currently, they are in 4th place in the league standings, and are only two points behind current league toppers, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604.
Winning two matches, and drawing only one, it seems as though Rayo Vallecano really are on the rise, and avoiding relegation may not end up staying as the main objective for too long if they keep it up.
However, it is still too early in the season to give a verdict on whether Rayo Vallecano can stay out of the relegation zone this season.
With Real Madrid coming up and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Radamel-Falcao-c30276 in top form for Atletico Madrid, Rayo Vallecano can’t stay too relaxed.
It’s going to be a tough season for the team, and one small slip-up could cause relegation.
Staying confident and realistic, Vallecano’s chairman has hopes for his team’s success this season.
