Ravens’ linebacker Ray Lewis not worried about timeline for return – NFL News
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis has refused to give a timetable for his return to Ravens side though he assures he is making progress on the recovery from his injury.
Lewis, who did not appear before Baltimore media because he was having treatment for his toe injury, said that he wanted to join their team as earlier as he could but did not give any timeline in this regard.
Ravens expect Lewis will be back to their lineup this season despite that his injury did not look a season threatening. They however added that the decision to play and when to play will be Lewis' own.
The current regular season of the American football's premier league, National Football League (NFL), will enter into week 12. The Ravens are hosting San Francisco on Thanksgiving Day. Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on fourth Thursday
of November in the United States, while on second Monday of October in Canada every year. The day is declared a public holiday in both countries.
This year's game between Ravens and 49ers will be an historical event as the game will bring two brothers, Ravens coach John Harbaugh and 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh against each other.
The game is important for both the teams. The 49ers' win will enable them to clinch the American Football Conference (AFC) west division, while a win to Ravens will help them to go one point up Pittsburgh Steelers whom they share
the AFC north division lead at 7-3.
Talking to the press, Lewis said, “As the leader of your team, it doesn't sit well with me to be on the sidelines. But I was the biggest cheerleader out there on Sunday, and I was truly proud of the way we played as a team. I am
doing everything in my power to get back as fast as I can, whether that's this week, next week or whenever it is, I am doing everything I can to be out there with my team. I want to play Thursday night, and I am making some progress."
Ravens' key starter Ray Lewis missed their previous game because of the toe injury, but expects to recover in time for the next game.
