Ravenswood Buck to bounce back into form for the Friday Night 30 Ticket Club 525
Competing for the €300 prize money of the Grade A2 Friday Night 30 Ticket Club 525 are, Ballymac Button, Aussie Spirit, Sportsman Keano, Tried Before, Have To Win and Ravenswood Buck. The 525 yards flat race will be hosted by Harold’s Cross on Tuesday, 4th
December, 2012. Taking off in the red of the first trap will be, Ballymac Button, and breaking for completing the trip from the opposite end will be, Ravenswood Buck.
With the line-up that is highly moderate, the only hound who has been able to get the support of 9 to 4 odds is the two-year-old fawn dog, Ravenswood Buck.
He has been racing since 2011 and the only other racing venue that he has tried is the Shelbourne Park.
Forest Jack’s son won at the same level on 21st September, 2012 in the Lucky Last @ the Cross 550 at Harold’s Cross. The favourite third trap led on from the first position and then held on to the determined stance aggressively, making it to
the other end of the wire in 30.47 seconds.
Missing the winner’s prize money by as short as a short head’s difference was, The Other Peach.
The Barber trained then won the Grade A2 525 yards flat on 26th October, 2012 at Harold’s Cross. Making it quick to race away from the rest of the lot and then reeling in for the wire got him making the transition to the other end in 29.33 seconds.
This time the winning margin of the two-year-old out of, Forest Maggie, was 4 ½ lengths and he set Cheese Please, as the runner-up.
His first try at the open level in the 2012 season was a failure, but even then he gave it a shot twice. He ended fourth in the first attempt and then fifth in the very next outing. Both the failures were at Harold’s Cross over 525 yards.
The efforts of trying to attach against his name the open title got him compromising with his form at the Grade A level too.
He has raced from the sixth trap before, but not recently.
